Thomas HARRIDGE

| Note* | Thomas HARRIDGE Thomas Harridge bought Paglesham House in 1782 from Cavell Briggs of Rochford and Thomas sold it in 1801 to Henry Beckwith. The 1782 purchase date by Thomas would indicate that Thomas was born before 1760. Thomas sold the Bull Inn to his Ann's brother, Golden Nehemiah Prentice, who owned Earls Court. Thomas Harridge also owned Upper and Lower Edwards Hall which had been in the family for some time. The Lower Hall was demolished to make room for a school but the Upper Hall was still there in in 1962. Four stones in Prittlewell Church provide information that "Thomas Harridge" died October 3rd 1833, aged 68 years. Anne Ruth Harridge his wife Died February 26th, 1845, aged 69 years. Golden, their son died in 1829, aged 27 years, and Thomas in 1858 aged 61 years. |
