In 1961 the Revd. Edwin Stafford BROWNE had been Rector of
Blaxhall with Stratford St.Andrew and Farnham, Suffolk
(Diocese of St.Edmundsbury and Ipswich since 1953.

He was an Associate of the London College of Divinity (1933).
Ordained deacon in 1933 and priest in 1934.
Assistant curate at St.John Baptist, Ipswich, 1933-37
   of St.Luke, Maidenhead, 1937-1939;
Vicar of Tetney, 1939-1953,
also of Holton-le-Clay 1949-1953.
He was born in 1908, retired from Blaxhall in 1973, and died
in 1989/90.
