MARY ANN MEACOCK
(1869 - 1902)

Mary Ann Meacock was born on 23rd July 1869 at 369 New North Road, Islington, London.  She was the daughter of George Edward Meacock (1841 - 1914) and Margaret nee Blackhall (c1842 - 1906).

Mary, at the age of two, is recorded in the 1871 census with her parents at 5 Newhall Street, Islington (see Table 1).

By the time of the 1881 census, the family had moved to 7 Half Moon Court in Holborn (see Table 2).

On 29th March 1891, conveniently around the time of the next census which took place on 5th April, Mary married Henry (Harry) Taylor (c1870 - c1959), son of William Taylor (c1841-) and Ann nee Callaghan (c1841-). The marriage certificate gives Mary's address as 15 Emerald Street.  There was no sign of the newlyweds at Henry's address of 3 Bedford Court (Holborn) despite their son being born there the following July.  Only later did they turn up incorrectly enumerated under 15 Emerald Street (see Table 3).
