The General Court Baron of David Harridge Gentleman Lord of the said Manor holden in and for the said Manor on Monday the Second day of March in the Thirty fifth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of Great Britain ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the ffaith etc and in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety five Before James Vanderzee Gentleman Steward there.

Thomas Cattell

At this Court the Homage present That on the seventh day of October One thousand seven hundred and ninety three Thomas Cattell of Little Stambridge in the County of Essex Victualler a Copyhold Tenant of the said Manor and Ann his Wife came before James Vanderzee Gentleman Steward of the said Manor and (she the said Ann being first solely and secretly examined apart from her said husband according to the custom of the said Manor and [was] consenting) did surrender out of their hands into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor [by] the rod and by the hands of the said Steward according to the Custom thereof [one] undivided Moiety or half part (the whole into two equal parts to be divided) of in and to All that Piece or Parcel of Customary Land containing by admeasurement One Acre (little more or less) whereon a Tenement or Building hath been lately erected and built called [and] known by the Name or Sign of the Cherry Tree which said piece or parcel of Land [lately] part and parcel of Six Acres of Land called Winters lying and being in Little Stambridge aforesaid and holden of the said Manor as the same then were in the tenure or [?] of the said Thomas Cattell his undertenants or assigns And also one [other] undivided Moiety or Half Part of in and to All and singular the said Premisses And the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders of the said Premisses and of every part thereof And all the [Estate] [?] Title Interest Property Claim and Demand whatsoever both at Law and in Equity of them [the said] Thomas Cattell and Ann his wife or either of them of in to or out of the same Premisses [right hand edge of roll is fragmented] part and parcel thereof To the use and Behoof of William Blyth of Paglesham in [the] County of Essex Dredger his heirs and assigns for ever Subject to a Proviso That if the [said Thomas] Cattell and Ann his wife or either of them their or either of their Heirs Executors or Administrators [?] [?] pay or cause to be paid unto the said William Blyth his Executors Administrators or Assigns the full and just Sum of Two hundred Pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain [?] lawful Interest for the same of like lawful Money on or upon the seventh day of April [?] [?] the date thereof without any manner of deduction [?] or abatement whatsoever out of or [?] same or only part thereof for or by reason or means of any Parliamentary or other Taxes [end of roll fragmented]
