In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Harridge the Younger of Hadleigh in the County of Essex Farmer being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding praised be Almighty God for the same do hereby revoke and made (sic) void all former wills and Testaments by me made and make and declare this to be my last will and Testament I resign my Soul to its Creator in all humble hopes of its happiness as in the disposal of a being infinitely good and give and bequeath unto Susannah my dearly beloved wife all my household Furniture Goods Chattels Monies and Securities for money as well government as otherwise and all other my personal Estate and Effects of whatever nature kind or sort the same shall be or consist at the time of my Decease subject nevertheless to the payment of my Just Debts Funeral Expenses and the Probate of this my will and I make constitute and appoint the said Susannah my wife sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament In witness whereof I the said Thomas Harridge the Testator have hereunto set and put my hand and Seal this ninth Day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven – Thomas Harridge Junr Signed sealed and delivered published and declared as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto - Chas Bellarston Atty at Law Brentwood - John Witham
This Will was proved at London the sixteenth Day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight before the worshipful John Stoddard Doctor of Laws and Surrogate of the Right Honourable Sir William Wynne Knight also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Susannah Harridge widow the Relict of the dec[eas]ed and the sole Executrix named in the said will to whom Admon was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased she having been first sworn duly to administer
