These pages chart the life and times of my ancestors through the centuries. Of course, there can be no end to the search for information about them as there is always something new to find.
I have started by looking at the names of my great-grandparents. Each of us has eight such ancestors; thus, barring cousin marriages, there will be eight families to provide the basis of research.

Using the contents list on the left it is possible to advance through the story of each of them, working backwards in time from the present.
Works of this nature necessarily require the input of more than one person. Material in these pages is not only the result of my own research into the families concerned but also a result of the research of others, cousins, met along the way, who, when the way ahead looked bleak, provided further information to follow up.
